Okay, I've been away for almost a month, and so much has changed.

First off, my dog Demon(only 2 years old) had to be put to sleep due to Addison's disease on April 26. HIs heart was shutting down. For those of you who don't know him...

I'm getting GIMP as soon as I convince my mom but I've used APS2 and 3 at school so i have a general understanding of such programs. I'm working on a banner for the homefarm and would like a tutorial on how to get the awesome stars everyone seem to have. Other art designs would be cool but stars are fine for now. Thanks. I wanted to make a tutorial for you, so here is it.

Open a base on photofiltre (the link for download free this program is in an announcement^^).

Choose your colours. You must choose a base colour and then brighter colours for the highlights and darker colours for the shadows.

Photofiltre tuto:

BODY AND LEGS

Use "Magic Wand" tool to select the background.

Right click in the background and click "Invert Selection"

Place your mouse over to "Color

Then click on the "Color Layer" in the sub menu displayed.

Opacity 50-80, color of your choice (Somewhere between medium to dark) use preview to see if you like it.

Choose a similar if not same color as of the out lines of the horse

Using the second brush in first and/or second row, color in the parts where shadows ...

Okay, I apologize if this is the wrong forum. But for those of you who make PhotoManips using Gimp, this effect can be helpful.

1. Open the image/banner without any text.

Here's the image I started out with, from Flickr Creative Commons. The text will come out all blurry, which is why you do it last.

2. On the top of the image's window, click on Dialogs, then go down to layers.

Hi, I'm trying to do new layouts, and I want to create an Iframe for a page where I display the names and breeds and information about my horses. Unfortunatley, everytime I hit save, the Iframe doesn't show up. I know I typed the coding in correctly, so why doesn't howrse let me do Iframes?

Better question, I tried putting the information from that page directly into my howrse page but when I hit html to edit it, the system would glitch and tell my that the server can not be found.
